I know this is a serious departure from my work. For such a long time my photography has been about documenting the darker aspects of my life. My connection to nature is an aspect that has gone undocumented until spring 2009 when I began documenting birding and hiking trips. I have never been comfortable making heart warming images.
Nature is something I have always been involved with from the time I was a child, thanks to my mother’s interests and her involvement with Oregon Ridge Nature Center. Now in my healthy adult life it is something my spouse and I enjoy together and revolve almost all free time around. We are avid observers.
